About Peter
Peter Sim joins Stephanie Murray Mortgages as an Adviser, currently based in Christchurch. Having grown up in Wellington, he brings strong networks across both regions.
Originally trained as a primary school teacher, Peter has a natural passion for connecting with people and helping them learn. He brings this same education-first approach to mortgage advice, supporting clients to understand how to structure their lending in a way that sets them up for long-term success.
With a strong interest in financial education, Peter has been involved in teaching financial literacy using tools such as Banqer and is known for researching and recommending the best financial products. His own journey into property finance sparked a passion for smart mortgage structures, including strategies such as revolving credit facilities aligned with personal financial goals.
Peter works closely with experienced adviser David Quinn and the wider Stephanie Murray Mortgages team to help clients achieve their property and financial goals, backed by the team’s collective expertise.
Outside of work, Peter is an avid trail runner who enjoys exploring the great outdoors of Aotearoa New Zealand. You’ll often find him running the Port Hills or spending time in dad mode with his toddler. He is also passionate about giving back, having supported fundraising initiatives for the Leprosy Mission and World Vision.
